You read that right, Final Fantasy VII Remake Delayed One Month. Previously the game was set to come out on March 3rd. But for some reason Square has moved it to April 10th, good Friday, or Easter Weekend depending on the country. So shipping and getting the game will be impossible for some people. It now also is in the same period of time as the hugely anticipated CyberPunk from CD Projekt Red.
The Final Fantasy VII Remake Delay is a true and horrid shame since I will be at an anime convention that week. So yeah, thanks Square. The timing for the new release honestly could be moved again, and with all thats happening that particular week it might be a good thing.
Below you can see a statement from Square Enix about the delay-
“We know that so many of you are looking forward to the release of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE and have been waiting patiently to experience what we have been working on. In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020.
We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know this means waiting for the game just a little bit longer.
Thank you for your patience and continued support”
Yoshinori Kitase, Producer of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE will be available for the PS4 on April 10, 2020.
There is still no word on a new trailer or a public demo being released. The last noteworthy news for Final Fantasy VII Remake was the huge leak that people are running from.
