The beloved anime\manga series The Promised Neverland is apparently set to get a live action series.
Meghan Malloy is set to write the script. The series will be directed and executive produced by Rodney Rothman, with Masi Oka executive producing along with Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo. Fox 21 Television Studios and Amazon Studios will produce. Malloy and Rothman both worked on the Oscar-winning animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.”-Variety
Beyond this we have next to no informtion, no date no release window nothing of any actual note beyond the head staff.
If you haven’t heard of Promised Neverland you are truly missing out, the anime was a huge hit and even landed on Toonami and the manga has already sold over 20 million copies. Which is dang impressive. I have only watched the series so far, but can say it was entirely fantastic.
